Our Christmas song "Seasonal Wishes" was written by Alan (my Dad) in July 2007 at a church hall in Warwickshire. The original version he wrote was just an ordinary song and there were never any plans to put this out as a Christmas song. When we moved back to Skegness in late 2007, he decided one morning in November to change the lyrics and turn it into a song for the holiday season. Looking back now, he is really happy he did this. Since the recording in London, the song has not only been played on our local radio stations in Lincolnshire but it has also been played on radio stations abroad. Every comment and message we receive is always appreciated and so long as everyone is enjoying our music that's all that matters to us. I'd just like to update everyone on our current progress. I've just recently moved house and areas to Lincolnshire, UK and have just received the results of the UK Songwriting Contest 2007. Out of over 5000 entries, "Our Special Day (From Me To You)" (both the full arrangement and the piano/vocal versions) reached the semi-finals in the Jazz/ Blues category.
We are all absolutely thrilled with the result and my dad has many more plans for the song as well as writing more material.
