"Ilaria's Song" (described as a ballad with a modern twist), is about a little girl in America called Ilaria who had a tumour on
her chest but with treatment she thankfully survived. The reason we
knew about this was because we know her grandparents who live here in
the UK. It inspired Alan to write a song called "Ilaria's Song" as we
wanted to use this as a way of raising awareness and money to help other
children going through the same illness. The charity we chose is called
World Child Cancer Foundation based in London UK and they provide
amazing support to those in need.
Alan says: "Ilaria is an inspiration to so many other children going through this and we hope that this song will give every child the support they need".
We have had 500 copies produced professionally and we are selling them for £3 each plus postage and packaging.
We have had BBC UK Radio airplay already with the song alongside other supporting countries, which has been great publicity for the charity as we have already raised £145 so far. Thank you to everyone who has donated and who keep on donating. You really are making a difference as just £50 provides Chemotherapy for one child so we have already helped two children so far.
Gemma says: "We just want to raise as much money as we can for such a great cause".
If you would like to purchase the CD, just click on the "CD Singles" Tab on this website and you can purchase via GBP, US Dollars or Euros depending on where you live.
song is now available for download on iTunes and Amazon. Thank you so much for your support!
